Our History, Our Future

We began in 1999 (yes the good old days) as a grass roots initiative by people dedicated to the concept of program management.  For the first couple years we were a fairly small and close-knit group.  We shared perspectives, innovative ideas, and a few cold beverages.  In the last two years we’ve taken a significant step forward by offering programs that illustrate innovative practices of how program management can best support business success.  We’ve worked with powerful and influential speakers who have provided us all with insights into their real-life experiences.  We’ve glimpsed the tools of success through the eyes of senior executives and industry experts.

But we’ve been forced to recognize a growing need – businesses are more challenged than ever before to perform, to be competitive, to grow – and to survive.  So we are moving to respond to that need – by spreading our message to a wider audience and offering even more practical insights, mechanisms, and tools that will help organizations and businesses not only survive, but also thrive!

In the coming year we intend to use new information exchange and delivery formats (e.g., case-study examinations, interactive working sessions, seminars) to investigate a greater spectrum of practices and tools in greater detail.  We’ll look at the process and tools of program management, and we’ll get into the craft of leading and orchestrating program teams.  And we’ll continue to demonstrate how the practice of program management can drive business success.
