Portland State University's (PSU) Professional Development Center offers professional and executive education courses in project management, business management, information technology, multimedia, and a host of other business subjects. We offer flexible course schedules and formats for busy working people, and our instructors are all seasoned professionals who teach from their experience. http://www.pdc.pdx.edu/


PMI-Portland membership is an invaluable resource for the exchange of ideas and information. It is a great way to keep up-to-date with project management tools and techniques, as well as letting you get acquainted with fellow project managers. http://www.pmi-portland.org/


Software Association of Oregon (SAO) hosts Peer Networks, Special Interest Groups (SIGS) and Forums to provide individuals with opportunities to gain practical, technical and business-related information in specific subject areas through monthly and quarterly public programs.

All programs have a steering committee made up of SAO members from that particular area of expertise who develop the content for the programs. The formats alternate between case study presentations, panel presentations and individual speakers. All programs require pre-registration. Oregon Graduate Institute (OGI) offers advanced research and graduate education in science, engineering and technology management. The Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) is the premier professional association dedicated to promoting excellence and ethics in management consulting. IMC members represent a wide range of consulting disciplines and serve all types of industries.

Founded in 1968, the IMC's mission is to provide certification, education, and professional resources to management consultants. The IMC awards the profession's internationally recognized certification, the CMC (Certified Management Consultant).  All IMC members pledge adherence to the IMC Code of Ethics.

PDMA is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to serving people with an interest in new products.
